The purpose of this study was to examine the issue of sexual harrassment on BBS. This study postulated that the awareness of sexual harrassment would be affected by three variables, (1) personalities of the users, (2) sex role of the users, and (3) features of BBSs.
The finding of the study showed that sex harrassment was prevalent on the BBSs, because most of the BBS administrator didn’t try to deal with it.
Female users tended to attribute the cause of sexual harrassment to the organizations of BBSs, on the contrary maleusers regarded it as personal attributes.
