中國大陸跨地區新聞輿論監督之研究—以《南方周末》為例

本研究以 2005 年 5 月為分水嶺，檢視中國大陸《南方周末》的跨地區新聞
輿論監督，透過內容分析，研究發現：對新聞輿論監督報導與跨地區新聞輿論監
督報導，相當重視；報導監督區域，以北京、四川居多；報導領域，偏重政法領
域與醫療衛生，議題以司法與國家執政問題居多；媒體多以「代表公眾」角色從
事監督；監督的層級與直接程度，都有較好的表現。但是 2005 年 5 月前、後，
跨地區輿論監督報導篇數量上，顯著減少，足見國家機器影響力仍強，並與媒體
市場驅力，在中國媒體新聞決策中，互相拉扯。

This study employs content analysis to examine the cross-regional news supervision
by public opinion of Southern Weekly in mainland China. The findings are: both
news supervision and the cross-regional news supervision by public opinion are
emphasized; supervision regions are mostly in Beijing and Sichuan; supervised issues
are the justice and political in nature and focused on political and legal and the
medical and health agenda. Besides, the Southern Weekly often plays the "on behalf
of the public" role to engage in supervision, finally, the breadth and depth of the
cross-regional news supervision by public opinion have better performance.
However, the numbers of cross-regional news supervision by public opinion have
been reduced significantly since May 2005. That is obvious the wrestle between
government power and market driving force on news supervision in mainland China.
