近年來,數位音樂的發展對唱片市場帶來極大的衝擊,唱片業不斷嘗試能夠獲利的新經營模式,以突破目前唱片市場所面臨的窘境,台灣的線上音樂平台也紛紛轉為合法經營,並與音樂人及唱片公司合作,企圖搶食數位音樂的大餅。
在音樂分眾市場逐漸浮現下,相對於流行音樂的獨立音樂產業,已成為一穩定成長的經濟體,並為台灣音樂市場帶來源源不絕的創作能量。由於獨立音樂受到數位音樂的負面衝擊較小,數位音樂及網際網路的結合,反而有助於獨立音樂人的音樂創作及宣傳。本文以獨立音樂為主的合法線上音樂平台個案,討論獨立音樂產業如何發展出與主流音樂市場不同的經營模式,並且此經營模式對音樂產業的影響為何。
英文摘要
In recent years, digital music has posed a far-reaching threat to the record industries. Those companies, therefore, try to overhaul their business models in a move to overcome the impasse, especially after the Internet digital music service companies are allowed to acquire copyrighted music sources legally.
When the niche market for the music industry is emerging, the independent music industry, which is different from the mainstream popular music industry, has seen a stable growth economics and brought in rich creative power to the music world in Taiwan. As the independent music industry seemingly bears less brunt resulting from the digital music, the combination between digital music and Internet has prompt the growth of the independent music. Therefore, this research takes the “City Music” as an example to discuss how the independent music industry develops a different business model and how this model influences the music industry.
