「台製中國風」的流行音樂,在不同時空背景與社會環境之下,提供遠離家鄉者情感的撫慰、執政者進行思想淨化的工具、中華文化的傳承或者是年輕世代的古典想像。流行音樂脫離不了國家力量與市場機制,面對台灣常民百姓的流行音樂,經歷光復、戒嚴、各種查禁手段、退出聯合國、中美斷交、經濟奇蹟、解嚴乃至兩次政黨輪替,塑造台灣流行音樂百花齊放的多樣面貌,也反映出台灣社會伴隨歷史演進與社會政治經濟環境變化。
本文基本觀點是視流行音樂處於整體文化的再現系統之中,提煉出「台製中國風」裡中國再現的意識型態結構框架,分別為「記憶的中國、想像的中國、現實與虛構的『那個中國』、崛起的中國」,並舉「鄉愁、民族、他者、力量」為與之相對應的四個意識型態,在此中國作為各種符號象徵,以想像、虛構或真實的方式,彰顯出台灣自身對主體的掙扎與懇盼,試圖論述流行音樂的中國再現是台灣歷史、國家、政治、經濟的群體與個體關係的互文要角。
英文摘要
In different space backgrounds and social environments, “Taiwanese China style” pop music provides emotional comfort to those who are far away from their home towns, tools for those who are in power to purify their thoughts, heritage of Chinese culture, or classical imagination for the young generations. Pop music is always influenced by nation power and market mechanism. The pop music that the public in Taiwan encounters has gone through victory over Japan, order of martial law,
all kinds of prohibition means, secession from United Nations, breaking off diplomatic relations between China and U.S.A., economical miracle, declaration of martial law ended, and even the changes of political parties twice; thus, diverse and multiple features of pop music in Taiwan are shaped, and the fact that Taiwan society changes with historical evolution, social politics, and economical environment is shown.
This article regards the pop music that lies in the representation- system of the entire culture as the basic viewpoints, and the important political events from the relationship between Taiwan and China are considered in order to classify the histories by stages, for the convenience of organizing the changing situations of pop music and society. And then, the four structural frames of China representation in "Taiwanese China style” are formed accordingly, including “China in memory,
imaginative China, ‘that China’ from reality and virtual reality, and rising China”; and
“homesickness, nation, others, and power” are the four ideologies that are corresponding to the above structural frames. China serves as all kinds of symbols to manifest Taiwan’s struggle and expectation towards the principal part through imagination, fabrication, or reality. This article tries to show that China representation in pop music plays an important role on the relationships of history, nation, politics,and economy in Taiwan.
