Taiwan television news-reporting are extremely sensational especially in local TV news. In consideration of this circumstance, this study is basic of the news production Hierarchical Model and Market-driven Journalism to analysis local TV news problems. Twenty-seven intensive interview were dominated in broadcasting and Cable corporations ’ local reporters; and 106 news content analyses were conducted. Study concluded that the editor supervisors are such overemphasis on Rating, neglect essential of local news during the news production procedure, that is the main reason of seriously homogeneous in local news reporting. This study suggests that in order to result the TV chaos situations, improving on the qualities of local TV news is necessary.
