"The Teenage Psychic" is a TV mini-series full of Taiwanese characters. In 2017,
it was completed and aired through a co-production between Taiwan's Public
Television Service(PTS) and HBO Asia. It was the HBO Asia’s first Chinese-speaking
series. The rating of the series hit a new high in Taiwan. This is the first time that
HBO has cooperated with Taiwan's television station and achieved an outstanding
result. How should Taiwan's television industry expand its channels when facing
the globalization and how it interacts with international media? In the process of
interaction, will it encounter any difficulties? How to find the solutions? This study
hopes to collect the successful experiences and explore the future direction of
international cooperation in drama productions for Taiwan’s television industry.
