競選期間,媒體會利用大量報導炒作與候選人的相關負面事件,藉此獲得選民的關注以及對候選人的輿論。本文以蔡英文、韓國瑜競選中的負面事件為文本,採用量化內容分析,從形象修復理論的角度探討,候選人如何針對其負面事件回應,抑制媒體炒作的負面報導,以及網路時代,選民輿論炒作的文明及不文明的留言。結果發現,候選人使用認錯道歉的策略奏效,且能解釋報導量降低與文明留言增加的原因,但是不文明留言的降低卻沒有顯著差異。 

英文摘要

During the election campaign, media plays an important role of reporting candidate related news, in order to gain the attention of the voters and the public opinion of the candidate. This study examined the effect of media hype on deliberation of voters using content analysis based on image restoration theory to 2020 Taiwan presidential candidates, Tsai Ing-wen and Han Kuo-yu, their individual negative events. The result found that candidate's strategy of admitting an apology was effective, and could explain the reasons for the decrease in the number of reports and the increase in civilized messages, but the decrease in uncivilized messages did not differ significantly.
