Under the circumstance of globalization and the trend of information free flow, media representation as a cultural practice constantly hails audiences as the subject. Through the process of identification, the subjectivity is constructed. Reading a large amount of international programs and information, how does the subject with local body inscription construct the unstable identity? Identity is not only the collective of sameness, but also practices the politics of difference. It is not fixed, but unstable. In the system of Internet communication, the user can arbitrarily create multiple and complex virtual identities. The signification of identity turns into implosion. In discussion of the relationship between media representation and the politics of identity, critical thinking is provided in this paper.
