The Use of Oral History Method in the Communication Research-It ’s Ontological, Epistemological and Methodological Issues
Habermas based his philosophy of epistemology on the knowledge constitutive interests of human beings. This article took the Habermasian philosophy of epitemology and use it to review the different paradigms in the communication research and tried to clarify their conneciton with history. It also tried to reveal all the ontological, epistemological and methodological issues in using the method of oral history in communication research, and discuss their posibble resolutions.
