本研究訪問大陸、香港及台灣的2634位新聞人員，目的在了解他們的背景、教育程度、基本訓練及專業價值觀．這是首次在兩岸三地進行的新聞人員比較研究．

This study is based on a survey of 2634 working journalists in China, Hong and Taiwan. The purpose of the study was to examine journalists ’ basic characteristics, their education and training, their working conditions and their professional values. It is the first comparative study which attempts to provide a comprehensive portrait of the journalists in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
