The purpose of this paper is to explore the presentation model of textual messages and to discuss the authoring issues of a multi-document hypertext system. This papaer first introduces the basic concepts of hypertext, then describes how to present textual messages in a hypertext system, and finally discusses the development steps of constructing a hypertext document. Some interface design issues are also outlined.
