大學校園電腦網路之媒介依賴性調查研究－以交通大學與政治大學為例
A Study on Media System Dependency of the Internet Users in Universities on the Base of NCTU and NCCU

本研究旨在探討網際網路此一新興媒體系統，在一個大學校園中學生的使用情形、態度、以及對於網路媒體所提供之資訊的依賴程度及依賴關係為何。本研究採用DeFleur & Ball-Rokeach於1976年所提出的媒介系統依賴理論(Media System Dependency Theory)作為研究架構。

在研究方法上，本研究係以問卷調查法(Questionnaire Survey)中非隨機配額抽樣法(Quota Sampling)，針對交通大學與政治大學同有的相關學院，探討大學中網際網路使用者的人口特徵、使用經驗、使用行為、使用動機，並進而探討以上四個變項與網路媒介依賴程度的關聯性。

According to the media system dependency theory (DeFleur & Ball-Rokeach, 1976), the degree to which people depend on a medium will vary with their environments. This study tested this theory by examining the dependence of people on Internet in different universities. The study hypothesized that the dependence on Internet would be affected by schools. A questionnaire survey was conducted to collected data from NCTU and NCCU for this study. The findings of data analysis supported the predictions of the study; that is, this study discovered that the degrees to which students depended on Internet differed significantly between the two universities. More findings of the study are discussed in the paper.
